Chuck, Just wanted to say that while you do not consider yourself a hero you are at a minimum my role model. I picked up the bass later in life and have taught myself to play using tabs and backing tracks to many songs namely Styx songs. Your persistence through your illness to continue playing has helped me persevere when I just felt like giving up. Music is my happy place as well and you have made it all the happier. Thanks for being you pal.

My first proper concert was the Kilroy tour. I took up playing bass mostly because of you and your brother. I still say the best rhythm section I've ever heard.
I brought the pickguard from my Jazz bass to a show in Seattle. You, John and Dennis signed it for me. So cool.
I wear a rainbow "ally" badge with my work ID to let coworkers know they can be themselves around me. I'm grateful to examples like you. PRIDE. No doubt.
Peace, love and good health to ya. Larry

Hi there - hope you're doing well, Chuck. Thanks to my parents - I grew up on the music of Styx. Good stuff - I guess I've always been a closet fan. I got to meet you several years ago when you made an appearance at the Gay Softball World Series that I played in annually. Thanks for your voice & generosity to our league. I hung up my cleats & glove (kind of), but was listening to some Styx tonight & thought to say hello. Be Well, Frank

Chuck, just now stumbled on this website after being a fan for 46 years! I still listen to songs from Styx's first 8 albums everyday. Huge fan of the bass work on those.
Keep up the fight...hope to see you live one of these days!

Hey, it's been awhile since I've popped over here to see how things are going for you. I know you're active, because I see you on youtube in recent Styx videos. (I'm watching the 'Return to Paradise' concert, and it's bring back all the feels.)
Wanted to give you an update on my brother, Thom. He's surviving his AIDS prognoses still (over 20 years and still going strong!) He's recently been undergoing treatment for Colon Cancer. But, the chemo/operation is going well for him.
Me? I'm still writing, listening to all sorts of music, and hiding out from the Covid-19.
Well - here's wishing that you'll be in concert soon close to Chattanooga, TN
<3 Judy

Hi Mr. Chuck, you probably don't know but we are distant relatives. To be more exact my mother (her surname is Panozzo) has cousins who lived in Chicago, and one of them came to Italy some months ago and told us the (far) link with you and John. Until that moment we even didn't know nothing about Stynx, it has been a big surprise your story and discover your music. We wish you all the best, Love from your Italian Family
