I grew up in Roseland as a kid on 119th&Lafayette.Went to St.Anthony grammar school. Three years at Mendel H.S from 1969-1971, graduated from Fenger1972.You might remember my sister Isabelle Kiatta, she took voice lessons from Ann Perrilo from the West Pullman area. She was a friend of Artie Beldaci's mother who gave piano lessons to my sister. We moved to 124th&Parnell in 1964.I saw TW4 play at Mother of Sorrow H.S.at a spring dance, in Blue Island,Illinois. I tell everyone what a wonderful life I had growing up on the South side of Chicago. I also saw Styx perform at the Adatorium.Styx will always be the band I grew up with in Chicago. Love always to a talented Chicago Boy from the South side. Go White Sox my cellphone number 1-813-965-7338

Hey Chuck, I recently had my 52 b-day and for the last two years things have not been rosy to say the least. My wife and me have followed you and styx. We have at least 35 shows to our credit. I usually pick shows where you are likely to be. When I feel like I can't go on, I think of all the trials and pain you have endured and it gives me a fresh look to keep going.I was a drummer in a metal band for 12 years. I will continue to follow you and styx as long as I am able to walk into your show. You have saved me many times and this will probably happen again.thank you so much for your inspiration and helping me cope.

Hi Chuck! I really don't know if you actually read these or not but hey why not give it a shot. Your story really touched me. And I grew up listening to the band. (I'm almost 24) I guess we are cousins as well. So that makes it even more special to listen to the band since you're family. I couldn't imagine going through the battle you do, but you sure are strong!

Sincerely,
Natalina

Bro - my heart is breaking for your pain. I'm 48, and Styx was my favorite band all through jr high and high school ((late 70s - mid 80s). After college I got married and started a family, busting it to put food on the table. A few weeks ago, I happened onto Wikipedia and read the story. I was blown away by all the stuff I never knew. When I read about Tommy and Dennis fighting over the direction of the band - as a man in my late 40s now, I get it, but couldn't comprehend something like that back in the 80s. When I read about John's death, I was crushed with sadness. What a loss. I'm so sorry. I have been replaying all the tunes from my youth, mostly stuff from Grand Illusion, Pieces of Eight and Paradise Theatre, as these were my favorite albums. I was amazed then, but am baffled today at the sound you guys were able to create with such antiquated technology back then. I guess I just wanted to take advantage of the chance to encourage you Chuck, and let you hear from just one more person who was blessed and enriched by your talents and gifts. Don't worry about the future. Just make the most of today.. Your friend - Don Bryan
