Just wanted to say your book was a real treat to read. I found so many things about you and Styx I may not never have known unless I read your book. Thank you for taking the time to write it.
P. S. I've even a long time Styx fan since 1982.

Hi Chuck! I just want you to know how much you touched my life. You have been an inspiration and rock n' roll idol since I got a copy of Cornerstone for Christmas when I was 8 years old. At 42, You still keep inspiring me through your strength, courage and the timeless music you have given us all. I love you for that and will always love you for what you continue to give to this world

I found out that I had melanoma (skin cancer), I had to wait to get the insurance to go thru & it took 7 long months for it to go thru. I had the surgery on Jan. 31st, 2012 & when I went back to see my dr. I was told that I would deal with numbness for 2 yrs. The numbness got so intense that I couldn't deal with it. The numbness hasn't left, even though its been over 2 years now. I have to do exercise daily. It changed my life though. I stay indoors now. I had 6 layers of tissue removed from my right forearm & the top layer from my right thigh to cover my right forearm. I'm doing better, but with other health issues that I have to live with. Thank You Very Much, Vicky

  Chuck

I pulled out my Styx albums tonight to relive some wonderful memories, as I used to listen to them with my son Chris when he was little, and now he has a band of his own in St. Paul, Minnesota called Narrow Vines. Last week, my wife and I had the pleasure of attending their cd release party at the Minnesota Music cafe, where the band blew the doors off the place when they played RENEGADE!! Narrow Vines are big fans of yours! Thanks for your inspiring story, and what you mean to our generation, as well as future generations. God bless you! Just another 'Renegade'

  Hi Chuck,
Can you please tell me why Tommy and J.Y. are so angry with Dennis? The family is broken and we are heatbroken. We love you all and wish you were together again.

I readied your book and it was very moving. I had a cousin that died for Aids. And she was afraid to tell anyone. And it was to late when she went to the doctor. And I want to thank you for being there for people with this nasty disease. Thanks again. Love you guys

  -Hello-

Hope all is well. My name is Steve Kader & I work as an independent contractor for NAMM (National Association Of Music Merchandisers) & specifically NAMM's Oral History Program-NAMM is headquartered here in the North San Diego area of Carlsbad. The director of the Oral History Program is Dan Del Fiorentino & I work for him scheduling interviews with iconic music performers, instrument manufacturers, music publishers, etc. I am trying to set up for Dan a short on-camera interview with Chuck Panozzo for the NAMM Oral History Program (details below). We would come to the venue &/or hotel for the interview & would do it around Chuck's schedule if time permits on the day/evening of his performance @ Harrah's Resort on Sat., Sept. 13. We naturally appreciate your artist's time & the interview can be of a short duration of 15 to 20 minutes. We also respect the legacy of your artist & would like others to share in this. Thanks & talk to you soon.

Best,

Steve Kader

The NAMM Oral History program was created to capture and preserve the rich history of the music industry and to encourage young people to become music makers! Our hope is to capture interviews with those passionate about music, their gear and their musical heroes and then share those stories to the world on our website (www.namm.org). This program began in 2000 and to date we have captured over 2,500 interviews with all areas of the music products industry as well as the performers associated with musical instrument makers and publishers. Our goal is to post a segment from every interview on our website and in the upcoming years as our servers expand we hope to add the edited interview linked with keyword tags for easy searching and surfing. It would be our honor to include you in this special collection of interviews as we continue to encourage music making and music makers!

The interview will be videotaped and ...

I was digging through some stuff and came across my Styx Albums. I had forgotten how great the cover art is and how I would read and reread everything on these albums. The music holds up as do the lyrics. I am not sure I will ever get lucky enough to see you perform but if I do...yay! I don't give a shit about autographs but I would like to shake your hand. THAT would be another great memory. I hope you remain as well as you can be. Namaste
