I studied the history of Rock and Roll last semester, and had to go to a concert and do a report on that concert, including background information about the band. After attending the Friday show at Westbury in November, then writing up that report, I am truly touched by your story, which I alluded to in my report. You were terrific in that performance and I can't wait for you to come back to the Island. Keep fighting and keep rocking!
(PS, I don't know if you saw me but I was probably the only one in a Chicago Blackhawks jersey that night)

chuck, I don't know if you will remember me. I am from Illinois, and volunteered for an organization called Rainbow Youth Outreach. You came to Peoria and spoke to the youth on HIV awareness. I appreciate all you have done in the community. I have a pic of you with our group if you are interested. cari

Hey Chuck. The website Ultimate Classic Rock has just inducted Styx into its fan voted Hall of Fame. I know that your cousin Bob would love it and so would every living member of Styx past and present. I also know that your brother John would have loved it too. Keep on rocking.

Hi Chuck. For a long time I've been loving the music of Styx and were still together when there began to gather information from each solo people and wondering about you. Now that I read your page and I hear your plight I tell you honestly that I'm sorry and I hope that if the Lord wants you to live taking the difficult burden. But the word of God, the Lord says that soon the disease will cease to exist and no one will say that he is sick. I invite you to listen to the testimony given by the Jehovah's Witnesses and take cover in a well-grounded hope, I wish you well in this difficult situation and I go any further in your projects. A Mexican friend

Hi, Chuck. I have just re-read your autobiography and thank you for having the courage to tell your story. Styx will be performing in Las Cruces next Wednesday, Jan. 15, and if you're with the band, I would love to meet you and thank you in person for your book and for all the great music you have given us.

Hi Chuck... I just saw you perform recently with Styx in Washington this passed September. My brother just gave me your book for a birthday present... Although I've known about your sexuality and HIV status for some time now, I am very eager to read your book and get more of the details of your life before and after HIV. I have been HIV+ for over 25 years (I tested poz in 1987). I remember one of the first things that went through my mind after finding out such scary and saddening news: The mind if a very powerful tool, and I am going to use that power to stay alive. It's been a wild ride, and for the most part, not a very easy one... but I'm still here. ...and it was such an inspiration to see you on stage with your band mates again (I also saw you make a cameo at The Gorge in WA several years ago too!)... Keep up the good fight, and the good work, and I will do the same. :-)

Chuck, A friend from the Wild Goose and Hammond Civic Center days(73). Met you at Bloom HS where STYX had played, many of the students had lived at one time in Roseland, they knew you guys as TW4. Had great times at your concerts, thanks for having me always on the guest list. You and John were always wild and crazy in a good way. Friends had asked if I knew you were gay in the early years. I,as many were some what shock, having to hide yourself in an industry were image could make you or destroy your career. Your courage is remarkable for opening up and even more for your story on being HIV. In our life time we learn of a friend or relative(my cousin) who has been contacted with HIV/AID. The best medicine is to be there for them and except their life style. Chuck, enjoy your life and be happy, you are a teacher just teaching a different subject. Hope to see you again someday, Take care
