Chuch, I grew up listening to Styx as part of my daily routine with my mom and dad. Great music with lots of great bass grooves. I am glad to know that you are still doing well, and I really wish I could have seen Styx live sometime in my life with all original members, but sadly, I never will. I wish you the best of luck in life and that whatever challenges come your way, you can take them head on. Take care, my musical brother!

Hi Chuck, great website, and you still look great, it's good to know your doing well and staying positive, you still look like your in great shape and i know how important that was to you. Don't know if you will be playing June 5 in Chicago, but would love to see you play the bass guitar again.
Take care, George Fernandez aka (Ultimate Workout)

We are very alike. I am a musician that was in some local bay area bands. Ploughound, Peppersrpay, Celebrity Governors to name a few. I found out I was pos. around the same time as you. Your story speaks for me. I lost my partner in the early 90's. Didn't think I'd be around to talk about all this, but I am. Just started meds. I've been healthy and feel lucky. Still playing guitar for my own well being and for the pure enjoyment. Sure does feel like a rollercoaster sometimes. Hope your doing well these days. Remember listening to your work in the 70's- liked the goatee *wink* be well buddy. Duane

I have owned 6 Styx albums. Many of the best memories of my life have you guys playing in the background. The first girl that I couldn't stop thinking about (over 30 years ago)still comes to mind when I hear "Babe". Grand Illusion, the whole album, played at my first college party. Any mention of the Berlin wall comming down reminds me that we were, at the time, living on the edge of a century. When one of my sisters developed a chronic muscular condiditon "Not dead Yet" would get her ready for each dr.'s appointment. There is more. I tell you this because I read in your story how devestating it was for friends to pass needlessly, and in relative anonymity. I admire the drive with which you are taking on life. You and our partners have been a bigger part of more peoples life than you may realize. I wish you continued success on stage and off.

Hi Chuck, I don't know if you remember me but I used to sit next to John in the old Chicago Stadium for Blackhawks games and brought you to several games. I was going through some old photos and there is one of John and me that brought back some great memories. I hope all is well in your world and you are healthy and happy.
