Hello Chuck, What an incredible story you have. I have been a STYX fan all of my life and have the pleasure of seeing you and STYX perform many times over the years. I grew up in the Chicago area and remember listening to WLS play your music. STYX music has always been a way for me to get through some hard times and I want to thank you. I also want to say thank you for such an inspirational story, I hope I can continue to live my life with the style and persistence you are living yours. You are such a wonderful role model for all. May God Bless you. And Thank you for all of the music that has helped me through my struggles. Laurie

Chuck, it's good to see you are using your celebrity to improve awareness and research for a cure / treatment for AIDS/HIV. I hope your contribution helps those in need, and I will continue to enjoy your shows when you get the chance to play in NYC or Long Island.

Chuck,
Thank you for your continuing work in educating folks about both HIV/AIDS and civil rights for everyone. You are an inspiration, and am glad that you're a positive role model for many. I have been a fan of Styx since the late 1970's, and even had a crush on you in junior high school. Little did I know that you were gay, too!:-) I wish you well, and please come to our little piece of paradise here in the Mojave Desert sometime! Peaceout.

Chuck-I had no idea! I have been coming to Styx concerts since 1977. In the last few years, I have noticed that you have "aged" and appeared for several songs - always to major ovations! Now that I know why, may I say, "Thank you!" What an inspiration! I have been sick myself for the last two and a half years and many days I do not want to move, but if I don't, the next day will be even harder and I have much to live for so stopping is NOT an option. I have two sons (now 23 & 18) who have been coming to Styx concerts with me since they turned 14. They absolutely LOVE them and we hit at least one a year. This summer we made two - Meadowbrook, NH and Montauge, Pa. We did not see you at either of them. We commented on that fact after both concerts. I hope that all is well with you. Well, my friend, I will pray for you and your continued good health. I'll be watching for Styx's future concert date and looking forward to seeing you in the future. May God bless you and keep you close in his loving arms. Your friend and long time fan, Shelley Wirth

As a long-time Styx fan and HIV/AIDS volunteer, I want to thank you for not only years of great music, but also for you tireless work in raising money for HIV/AIDS education and research. It is people like you that keep the fight going. I have many wonderful friends in the LGBT community, and thanks to people like you, who continue to do battle everyday, they are able to live openly, honestly, and happily. From the bottom of my heart, and on behalf of my friends, I thank you.
Sincerely, Tiffany

Hi Chuck, I have been a fan from a far since the late 80's. I started to listen to styx when I was 13. I have had the pleasure of seeing the band about 5 or 6 times. I have not been close enough to the seen to know many of the workings and relationships within and out of the band. HOWEVER I wanted to say this-First of all the show the other night was smoking, I left shortly after you were done as anything short of Sinatra coming to do a set would of fallen on deaf ears. But you have been a part of good music most of your life I assume. I was curious about a few things when you came out to Jam and went to the web. To read your story is to be inspired by a humble passionate man.I think we have all been touched with your plight and you are a true soldier and class act. I just wanted to wish you well in all your endeavors and let you know I was always impressed with your bands music, Now with your site I have the chance to be impressed with one of its members as a person and not a musician-thanks for that glimpse-Jason
